Joanna has a Music Education degree,
and uses it daily by teaching piano lessons and singing her own
original songs with preschool-aged children around the Chicago-land
area. Her enthusiasm and vitality are as contagious offstage as
on. She is adored by the children in her local daycare system
where, as "Miss Music," she uses fun and music to teach principles
and love-of-life to the little ones at each facility she visits
regularly.
Her professional singing career
includes numerous albums singing back-up vocals, demo recordings for
three publishing companies, and extensive experience as a studio
artist. You may not have known it, but you have heard Joanna's
beautiful, mellow voice over the years as you have listened to radio
and television commercials. From United Airlines, Sara Lee,
and Green Giant to Kraft and McDonald's, some of the best-known
corporations utilized her distinct, warm sound in their "jingles,"
and she was "first call" with many Chicago producers.
Joanna was a member of
the Chicago recording group, The John Wilson Singers, for many
years. This group records demo material for Hope Publishing Company of
Carol Stream, Illinois. She continues to sing as a member of
the King's Karollers on "Songs in the Night," the international
radio broadcast of the Moody
Church in
Chicago.
One of the highlights
of her career was singing with JUST FOUR, and her lasting friendship
with Myrna, Cheryl and Marcia continues to have a
lasting impact on her life.
Joanna lives in the Chicago
area with her husband, Paul. They have two
grown sons, Andrew and Joseph.
